Seasonal Office Assistant – Part-time

We are seeking a part-time Seasonal Office Assistant from April until November, depending on seasonal demands, to work 25+ hours per week.

The schedule will be Monday – Friday and Saturdays depending on seasonal needs.

Daily tasks include:

  • Greeting customers as they arrive at the Site
  • Answering multiple phone lines
  • Invoicing customers
  • Entering receivers
  • Performing data entry tasks, including inputting and updating customer information
  • Creating daily closing reports
  • Filing of customers’ information
  • Maintaining organized and accurate records, files, and documents
  • And other specific duties as assigned

You must have the ability to work independently with minimal supervision, have excellent communication skills; and be proficient with Word and Excel. Preference will be given to those who have prior customer service, administrative, receptionist and/or secretarial experience.

This is a fast-paced environment at a wholesale distributor of plants and plant materials with seasonal work demands where you could work outside in many weather conditions.

Requirements for the position:

  • Deadline and detail oriented
  • Work independently with minimal supervision and willing to follow instructions
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft including Word and Excel
  • 3 years of customer service, administrative, receptionist or secretarial experience
  • Must be able to tolerate working outside in many weather conditions
